But there was one more surprise – the Redmi Note 8 Pro.  So, with that in mind, can the Redmi Note 9 Pro be any different.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro will only come to India after the China launch. The series includes a base model of Redmi Note 8 Pro with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage priced at Rs 14,999. It will also have a 6GB RAM with a 128GB storage model and a top-end 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, priced at Rs 15,999 and Rs 17,999 respectively.

The price of the Redmi Note 9 Pro price here in India is expected to be the same as that of the Redmi Note 8 Pro. We’re doubtful about this because the new handset does have some pretty powerful hardware and software. Xiaomi mentioned that the prices will begin in the under 15,000 segments and will be sold as an entry mid-range smartphone. The new Redmi Note 9 Pro will be launched on 13th February 2020. As can see from the details above, it has a 6.53 inches (16.59 cm) touchscreen display with a 1080 x 2340 pixels with 395 pixels per inch (PPI). Each of the Blackbora Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro cover is made up of hard polycarbonate which is neither too thick, nor too thin, ensuring amazing grip with superior protection.

The first takeaway is the glass design – the glass back and glass body made really well. We saw a similar design feature in the Redmi Note 7 Pro and then Redmi Note 8 Pro, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. These devices had a gradient texture too, a smooth feel with the glossy finish as well.

The Note 9 Pro will also have this glass back, the side of the phone is metal. The phone might have a gradient design like the Redmi K20 series. The design outlook of the Note 9 Pro is really good and is probably one of their best yet. It introduced that revised aesthetics as reflected in the Redmi Note 8 Pro. They have made the Note 9 Pro more glamourous, complete with a curved glass back that shows up really well. This design aspect gives the device a premium look. Xiaomi has stuck with IPS LCD panels as they not only look good but lower the cost of the device. It can also manage better display color output, viewing angles. First is the full HD+ Display that is all Gorilla scratch-resistant glass with the Waterdrop Notch. This time, you have an LCD panel offering a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. The display has a pixel density of 395 PPI and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The OS will still be the Xiaomi’s own MIUI, which is a custom Android skin.

Advantages of this display: This is is a capacitative, multi-touch, responsive screen. It is a bigger and more interactive one at 6.53 inches, this makes it suitable for reading, browsing the internet and watching videos that could be easier owing to the1080 x 2340 pixels resolution. This resolution will mean sharper images, videos and text.

The Snapdragon 730G chipset offers more processing power for most users. The phone comes with 6GB of RAM and offers 64GB of internal storage, along with a microSD slot so that you can add expandable memory (up to 256GB).

Advantages of this processing power: You have lots of storage capacity at 64 GB. The Octa-Core CPU result in better parallelism, where a higher number of tasks can be processed in parallel without UI lags. A faster 2.2 GHz CPU means more smooth experience and the 6 GB RAM means more applications can run at the same time

The rear quad-cameras include a 64MP shooter for your regular photos, as well as an 8MP ultrawide camera. On top of that, you have a 2MP macro lens as well as a 2MP depth sensor for your bokeh shots. On the front, you have a 20MP camera for selfie shots. You can shoot 4K videos at 30 frames per second on the rear camera and 1080p videos with the front cam. Advantages of this camera setup: The high resolution, 64 MP, with AutoFocus, can take sharp, clear images. The quad-camera integration means that you could be enhancing certain effects like blur, zoom and wide-angle photos. The LED flash, allows you to take photos in low light. You can record videos of beautiful moments, sceneries in 4K @ 30 fps UHD. The 20 MP front camera supports video calling, photos and video calling.

The Note 9 Pro has a large 4500mAh cell with fast charging. Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, WiFi Direct, and A-GPS. The Redmi Note 9 Pro features a USB Type-C charging/data transfer port as well as a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Could the Redmi Note 9 Pro be a step up from the Note 8 Pro? As of now, the Note 8 is still one of the best picks in the under 15,000 bracket. The Note 9 is designed to replace it. So, what can we expect to be different? Design-wise, it looked a lot like the Realme XT, with the only difference being the camera placement. In spite of a glossy plastic frame, fingerprints aren’t easily visible but do look out of place. Still, at this price point, a plastic body is acceptable; we also have to like the curvy design that makes it easier to hold and use the phone. It was a pretty rugged build backed by Gorilla Glass 5 and was a pretty big phone. This device had 3 cameras and a fingerprint sensor aligned vertically, super responsive fingerprint scanner, micro USB port, 3.5 mm audio jack and the speaker grille. For the display, you had a big upgrade from the Realme XT - an LCD screen instead of the Super AMOLED that’s sharper, a drop notch, 6.53-inch Full HD+ display that supports HDR. The contrast, blacks aren’t close to an AMOLED, but the quality isn’t impacted by it either. Contrasts are actually really good and deliver on vibrant colours without overdoing it. This is because the brightness can hit 500 nits, so the screen is legible even outdoors. The performance was exceptional too - the addition of the Mediatek SoC in the Note 8, after using the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 in the Redmi Note 7 Pro. For games, it enhances your entire experience when operating with the Mali G76-MC4 GPU clocked at 800 MHz, for the best graphics and games output. The overall performance is better when it operates with the G90T is an octa-core chip. This chip has two 2.05 GHz Cortex-A76 performance cores and six Cortex A55 efficiency cores running at 2 GHz.

The 4,500 mAh battery was enough power to last you a day and a half. This is even with messaging and social media apps, browsing, clicking a few photos, 30 mins of watching videos and 30 mins of gaming. With light usage, you could be looking at two whole days! If you play games or watch videos for 2-3 hours a day, a full day’s power at best. Bundled with an 18 W fast charger that is nowhere close to the VOOC 3.0 charger bundled with the Realme XT.

The primary 64 MP camera is quite good with a few limitations in place. Sure, you can capture images in 64 MP, but if you use the standard mode, it captures in 16 MP with pixel binning. So the 64 MP mode doesn’t offer major improvements in the standard mode. However, in standard mode as well as 64 MP mode the quality of images is good, has vibrant colors and a good amount of detail and noise levels are reduced. The colour reproduction isn’t close to natural, we could call them saturated. Overall image processing renders a sharper image with boosted contrast.

The device runs Android Pie with a layer of MIUI 10 on top. Just like the OS on the Redmi Note 7 Pro or Redmi K20 Pro, there are no improvements. The OS does have a generous helping of bloatware and still doesn’t have an app drawer. The UI displays several ads and unnecessary alerts too. On the other hand, it’s got Alexa built-in and the Google Assistant too. We take into account form with function, thus each back cover will not only provide you ultimate all around protection to your Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro but also add boatload of style to your phone.

Great Offers and Free Delivery Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro Back Covers and Cases

For the Design And Display: The Redmi Note 9 Pro will be a glass design will all-new colour combinations. If you recall, the Redmi Note 7 Pro and Redmi Note 8 Pro had with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and gradient back designs. Xiaomi leaks suggest that the Note 9 Pro will be a gradient design, similar to what’s on the Redmi K20 series. The screen will still be the IPS LCD panel, 3D curved glass. Hardware and Processor: The Redmi Note 9 Pro has a Snapdragon 700 series processor, probably the Snapdragon 730. We saw this earlier on in the Redmi K20 that delivered good midrange performance. The Note 8 Pro had a MediaTek Helio G90T processor, just like before, Xiaomi intends the new device to be a gaming beast. Cameras and shots: Xiamo also intends the Note 9 Pro to be a camera phone. So, expect to see the  Sony IMX686 64MP as the main camera. The device is also said to have a 64MP Samsung GW1 primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture, 2MP depth sensor, 8MP Ultra Wide lens and 2cm Macro lens. There was a Samsung 64MP sensor on the Redmi Note 8 Pro, so the Note 9 is likely to be upgraded to the largest 108MP sensor. This will offer some really spectacular landscape photos.    It's going to be a quad-camera this time around, complete with a wide-angle lens, a depth sensor and a macro camera. The Redmi Note 8 Pro comes with a single 13MP shooter, the Note 9 will now include a  20MP shooter with similar AI-supported features. The  Redmi Note 9 Pro will have a 4,500 mAh battery with battery capacity optimization too. Redmi already offers an 18W fast charging, they also gave us the 30W fast charger with the mid-range Realme X2. The Note 9 will either have the same or higher, they could either use the existing 27W fast charging or the new 30W fast charging charger for Redmi Note 9 Pro.These cases and covers are super easy to install i.e. they are neither too tight nor too loose, which means you do not have to remove it from Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro to have access to connect charger or headphones or connect to other devices.
